Eleven candidates in race for Prahran
Residents of parts of postcodes 3182, 3183 and 3004 will need to allocate preferences to eleven candidates in the up-coming by-election. With no ALP candidate, the Liberals and Greens are the only major parties standing.
Other candidates include the principal of Prahran High School, a former Green turned actor, the former ALP MP for Prahran, a Jewish Libertarian, a teal style social entrepreneur, plus sustainability and animal justice campaigners. [Read more]

Volunteers told to stay clear of Ngargee Tree
TWiSK has been told that the Ngargee Tree has become a no go zone for about 8 weeks following the use of the area by rough sleepers. Police and fire brigade have been called to the camp on numerous occasions. Trees have been damaged, fires started and rubbish strewn around, including an assortment of probably stolen goods.
